DAY 424: Sajdah 18-30

•  Is the one who is a believer equal ˹before Allah˺ to the one who is rebellious? They are not equal! As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, they will have the Gardens of ˹Eternal˺ Residence—as an accommodation for what they used to do. But as for those who are rebellious, the Fire will be their home. Whenever they try to escape from it, they will be forced back into it, and will be told, “Taste the Fire’s torment, which you used to deny.” We will certainly make them taste some of the minor torment ˹in this life˺ before the major torment ˹of the Hereafter˺, so perhaps they will return ˹to the Right Path˺. And who does more wrong than the one who is reminded of Allah’s revelations then turns away from them? We will surely inflict punishment upon the wicked. Indeed, We gave the Scripture to Moses—so let there be no doubt ˹O Prophet˺ that you ˹too˺ are receiving revelations— and We made it a guide for the Children of Israel. We raised from among them leaders, guiding by Our command, when they patiently endured and firmly believed in Our signs. Indeed, your Lord will decide between them on the Day of Judgment regarding their differences. Is it not yet clear to them how many peoples We destroyed before them, whose ruins they still pass by? Surely in this are signs. Will they not then listen? Do they not see how We drive rain to parched land, producing ˹various˺ crops from which they and their cattle eat? Will they not then see? They ask ˹mockingly˺, “When is this ˹Day of final˺ Decision, if what you say is true?” Say, “On the day of decision their belief will not be of any use to disbelievers, nor shall they be given any respite.” So turn away from them, and wait! They too are waiting.

  the Surah shifts from the theological arguments for faith and resurrection to a direct comparison between the fate of believers and sinners. It then addresses the impatience of the disbelievers who mockingly ask for immediate judgment, and it concludes by outlining the prophet’s role and the proper posture of waiting with patience. The passage provides comfort to the believers and a stern warning to the rejectors.
      Believers vs. Sinners: They are not equal. Believers get Paradise; sinners get Hell, and worldly trials are warnings before the greater punishment (18-22).
      Past Prophets: Moses received Scripture. True leaders are patient and certain of faith. God will judge their disputes on Judgment Day (23-25).
      Signs: Ruins of destroyed nations and rain reviving barren land prove God's power to resurrect (26-27).
      Final Challenge: Disbelievers mockingly ask when judgment will come. Reply: Faith on that day will be useless. Prophet is told to wait, as they are waiting (28-30).
  
      Believers and sinners are not equal in reward; despite disbelievers mocking and demanding immediate judgment, the Prophet is commanded to wait patiently, for history's ruins and nature's revival prove God's power to resurrect and bring ultimate justice.
