       O you, enveloped in garments! Arise and warn ˹all˺, and declare the greatness of your Lord, and keep your clothes clean, and stay away from filth, and do not do a favour (to anyone merely) to seek more (in return). And for the sake of your Lord, be patient.

DAY 23: Muzammil 20

• Surely your Lord knows that you ˹O Prophet˺ stand ˹in prayer˺ for nearly two-thirds of the night, or ˹sometimes˺ half of it, or a third, as do some of those with you. Allah ˹alone˺ keeps a ˹precise˺ measure of the day and night. He knows that you ˹believers˺ are unable to endure this, and has turned to you in mercy.1 So recite ˹in prayer˺ whatever you can from the Quran. He knows that some of you will be sick, some will be travelling throughout the land seeking Allah’s bounty, and some fighting in the cause of Allah. So recite whatever you can from it. And establish Salāt ( الصَّلَاةَ ), and pay Zakāt ( الزَّكَاةَ ),  and lend God a good loan (by spending in His cause and for the needy). And whatever good you will send ahead for your own-selves, you will find it with Allah much better in condition, and much greater in reward. And seek forgiveness from Allah. Indeed Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful.

      Flexibility in Worship: Islam is a religion of ease, and Allah does not burden His servants beyond their capacity. Night prayer and Quranic recitation are encouraged, but they should be done within one’s means.

DAY 22: Muzammil 15-19

•  Indeed, We have sent to you a messenger as a witness over you, just as We sent a messenger to Pharaoh. but Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger and so We inflicted a heavy punishment on him. So, if you disbelieve, how will you save yourself from a day that will turn the small boys into grey-headed old men, a Day when the sky will be torn apart? God’s promise will certainly be fulfilled. So, This is a Reminder. Let him who will, then, choose a way to his Lord.

      Pay attention to the Message of the Prophet (peace be upon him): Just as previous nations were held accountable for their response to their messengers, we will be held accountable for how we respond to the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet.
  
      Reflect on the Consequences of Disbelief: The story of Pharaoh and the description of the Day of Judgment serve as warnings to avoid arrogance and rejection of the truth.
  
      Take the Quran Seriously: The Quran is a reminder and a guide, and we should strive to understand and implement its teachings in our lives.
  
      Exercise Free Will Wisely: We have the choice to follow the path of guidance or to reject it, but we must remember that our choices have eternal consequences.

DAY 21: Muzammil 9-14

•  He is Lord of the east and west, there is no god but Him, so take Him alone for one to rely on and to entrust your affairs to, And be patient over what they say, and part with them in a beautiful manner. And leave Me alone to deal with those who enjoy God’s worldly blessings and yet unreasonably persist in denying (our revelations), and bear with them for a little while. We have heavy shackles and a blazing Fire in store for them, and food that chokes, and a painful punishment.on the Day the earth and mountains will shake (violently), and mountains will be (reduced to) dunes of shifting sand.

•  Rising and praying at night impresses (mind and heart) most strongly and (makes) recitation more certain and upright. For during the day, you are over-occupied (with worldly duties).Remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him exclusively.

      Prioritize Night Prayer (Tahajjud): The night is a special time for worship, and believers should strive to wake up for Tahajjud, even if it’s for a short period.

DAY 19: Muzammil 1-5

•  O you enwrapped one!, (under the heavy responsibility of Messengership)! stand at night (for prayer) except a little, half of it, or make it a little less, or a little more—and recite the Quran ˹properly˺ in a measured way. Indeed, We will cast upon you a heavy Message.

      Allah’s Focus is on the Mission, Not Physical Clothing:
  
          Allah has no concern with the Prophet’s physical clothing. The Quran is a book of guidance, and its verses are meant to convey deeper spiritual and practical lessons. • Those who disbelieve would (if they could) strike you down with their looks when they hear the Quran. They say, ‘He must be a madman!’ And it is nothing else but a Reminder to all mankind.

          The disbelievers’ reaction to the Quran reflects the hostility and denial that often accompany the propagation of truth. This serves as a reminder that truth will always face opposition, but it will ultimately prevail.

DAY 16: Qalam 48-50

• So, remain patient with your Lord’s judgment, and be not like the Man of the Fish, he cried out while he was in total distress. If not that a mercy from his Lord overtook him, he would have been thrown onto the naked shore in disgrace. but his Lord chose him and made him one of the Righteous.

DAY 15: Qalam 44-47

•  So, leave Me alone  with [the matter of] whoever denies this message. We will progressively lead them [to destruction] from where they do not know. And I will give them time. My plan (all that is willed for them) is firm and unfailing.Or are you asking them for a reward ˹for the message˺ so that they are overburdened by debt? Or do they have the (knowledge of the) Unseen,so they write [it] down?

DAY 14: Qalam 40-43

• Ask them which of them can guarantee all that. Or do they have associate-gods (who have guaranteed safety for them)? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful. on the day when the truth will be manifest and they are in trouble, and being called to prostrate, they will not be able to do so, with eyes downcast, totally covered with disgrace. Assuredly they were called to prostrate while they were yet safe and whole (in this world, but they did not).

DAY 13: Qalam 34-39

• There will be Gardens of Pleasure for those who are mindful of God. Should We treat those who submit to Us as We treat those who do evil? What is the matter with you? How do you judge? Or, Do you have a book in which you read that you will have whatever you want (to have)? Or, Have you received from Us solemn oaths, binding to the Day of Resurrection, that you will have whatever you judge (should be
  yours)?

      The Reward of the Righteous:
  
          The righteous will be granted the Gardens of Pleasure in the Hereafter, a reminder of the eternal rewards that await those who strive to please Allah.
  
      Allah’s Justice:
  
          Allah’s justice ensures that the righteous and the wicked will never be treated alike. Everyone will be held accountable for their deeds.
  
      The Futility of False Claims:
  
          Those who make false claims or follow their desires without guidance have no basis for their beliefs. Only Allah’s revelation contains the truth.
  
      Submission to Allah’s Will:
  
          True success comes from submitting to Allah’s will and relying on His guidance, not from pursuing selfish desires or false beliefs.
  
  Practical Application in Our Lives:
  
      Strive for Righteousness:
  
          Focus on becoming one of the righteous (المتقين) by being God-conscious, avoiding sin, and striving to do good.
  
      Trust in Allah’s Justice:
  
          Have faith that Allah will reward the righteous and punish the wicked according to His perfect justice.
  
      Rely on Authentic Guidance:
  
          Base your beliefs and actions on the Quran and Sunnah, and avoid following baseless claims or desires.
  
      Submit to Allah’s Will:
  
          Recognize that only Allah has the ultimate authority over our lives and destinies. Strive to align your desires with His will.

DAY 12: Qalam 30-33

•  Then they turned on each other, throwing blame. They said, ‘Alas for us! We have done terrible wrong, We hope that our Lord will give us in exchange something better than this. Truly we turn to Allah'. Such is the punishment [in this life], And the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.

The garden owners’ reaction to the destruction of their garden revealed their arrogance, greed, and lack of gratitude. However, it also gave them a chance to acknowledge their mistakes and turn to Allah in repentance.

Despite their wrongdoing, the garden owners turned to Allah with hope, saying, "Perhaps our Lord will substitute for us [a garden] better than it."

Lesson: No matter how grave our mistakes, we should never lose hope in Allah’s mercy. He is the Most Forgiving and can replace our losses with something better if we sincerely repent and turn to Him.

Worldly Trials Are Minor Compared to the Hereafter:

The destruction of the garden was a temporary punishment in this world, but the punishment of the Hereafter is far greater.

Lesson: The trials of this life are opportunities to prepare for the eternal life to come. By responding to difficulties with faith and patience, we can earn Allah’s pleasure and avoid the greater punishment of the Hereafter.

DAY 11: Qalam 20-29

•  So, they called out each other as the morning broke, [Saying], "Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit".So they went off, whispering to one2 another, saying :‘Make sure no poor person enters the garden today!'.And they proceeded early, totally fixated on their purpose.But when they saw it (the place of the ruined garden), they said, ‘We must have lost our way! , No- we are ruined!’. The most sensible of them said, “Did I not urge you to say, ‘Allah willing.’?” They replied, “Glory be to our Lord! We have truly been wrongdoers.”

      Acknowledge Allah’s Will in All Matters:
  
          The garden owners failed to say "If Allah wills" (InshaAllah) when making their plans, reflecting their arrogance and self-sufficiency.
  
          Lesson: We must always recognize that nothing happens without Allah’s permission. Whether we are making plans, pursuing goals, or enjoying blessings, we should remain humble and acknowledge that everything is in Allah’s hands.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "And never say of anything, 'Indeed, I will do that tomorrow,' except [when adding], 'If Allah wills.'" (Surah Al-Kahf, 18:23-24)
  
      Share What Allah Has Given You:
  
          The garden owners conspired to exclude the poor from benefiting from their garden, showing their greed and lack of compassion.
  
          Lesson: Allah’s blessings are not meant to be hoarded; they are a trust from Him. We are obligated to share our wealth, resources, and time with those in need.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "And spend from what We have provided for you before death approaches one of you and he says, 'My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous.'" (Surah Al-Munafiqun, 63:10)
  
      Do Not Be Greedy or Arrogant:
  
          The garden owners’ greed and arrogance led to their downfall. They believed they were in control of their blessings and neglected their duty to others.
  
          Lesson: Greed and arrogance are destructive traits that distance us from Allah’s mercy. We must remain grateful for what we have and avoid becoming attached to worldly possessions.

      Repent as Soon as You Realize Your Mistake:
  
          When the garden owners saw the destruction of their garden, they immediately recognized their wrongdoing and repented, saying, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
  
          Lesson: Repentance (Tawbah) is a powerful act of returning to Allah. No matter how grave our mistakes, Allah’s mercy is always available to those who sincerely repent.
  
          Quranic Reminder: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'" (Surah Az-Zumar, 39:53)

          The "most moderate" among the garden owners reminded them of their duty to exalt Allah and acknowledge His will.

          The garden, which seemed abundant and secure, was destroyed overnight. This shows the temporary nature of worldly blessings.
  
          Lesson: We should not become overly attached to worldly possessions, as they can be taken away at any moment. Instead, we should focus on using our blessings to earn Allah’s pleasure and prepare for the Hereafter.

      Divine Justice Is Swift and Absolute:
  
          The calamity struck suddenly, while the garden owners were asleep, showing that divine justice can come at any moment.
