DAY 516: Today's dua

•  Our Lord, we believe in You—the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, the One who needs nothing while everything depends on You.
  Do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. Keep us firm on the straight path, the path of Abraham—pure, upright, submitting to You alone.
  Forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs. We have wronged ourselves, and who forgives sins except You?
  Make our feet firm when the ground shakes beneath us. When fear whispers, when loss cuts deep, when the enemy presses close—let our hearts not waver.
  Do not let us weaken, or grieve, or lose heart, or give in. Grant us the patience You love, the patience of the prophets and the devoted ones who fought beside them and never surrendered.
  Help us spend from what we love, swallow our anger, and pardon people—not for their sake, but because we ache for Your love, and You love the doers of good.
  Purify our intentions. Expose what is in our hearts that is not for You. Remove from us the love of wealth that does not save, the desire for status that does not last, the overconfidence that forgets that victory comes only from You.
  We ask not for ease, but for Your presence in the difficulty. We ask not to avoid the test, but to be among the patient and the truthful when the test comes.
  Grant us the good of this world—not as our ultimate goal, but as a means to serve You. And grant us the best reward of the Hereafter: Your forgiveness, Your Paradise, and Your face.
  You are our Protector. Upon You we rely. To You all matters return.
