DAY 63: Falaq 1-5

•  Say: "I seek refuge with (Allâh), the Lord of the rising dawn, from the evil of whatever He has created, and from the evil of the night when it grows dark, and from the evil of those (witches casting spells by) blowing onto knots, and from the evil of an envier when they envy.”

      Harm and Evil Come from Allah's Creation, Not from Allah Himself: Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is the Creator of everything, including both good and evil. However, Allah Himself is pure and free from any evil or injustice. The harm and evil we experience in this world come from His creation, such as harmful creatures, negative human actions (like envy or witchcraft), or natural phenomena (like darkness or disasters). These are part of the test and trial of this worldly life.
      This means that evil or harm is a result of the actions of creation or the natural order of the world, not from Allah directly.
  
      Allah is the Only Source of Protection:    While harm and evil may come from creation, the only way to protect ourselves is by seeking refuge in Allah. He is the All-Powerful, All-Knowing, and the Only One who can truly shield us from harm. This is why Surah Al-Falaq begins with "Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak"—it emphasizes turning to Allah alone for protection.
  
      Why Does Allah Allow Harm and Evil?
     Allah allows difficulties and tests as part of His perfect wisdom. These tests are not random or meaningless; they are carefully designed to help us reach our full potential. As the Quran says:"Do the people think that they will be left to say, 'We believe,' and they will not be tried? But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars." (Quran 29:2-3)
  This verse reminds us that tests are a natural part of life and a means for Allah to distinguish between those who are sincere in their faith and those who are not. However,  the ultimate purpose is not for Allah to "find out" but for us to prove our sincerity to ourselves and grow in our faith.
  
      How to Seek Protection from Allah:
          Through Prayer and Supplication (Dua): Regularly recite Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas, as they are specifically for seeking refuge in Allah.
          Through Trust (Tawakkul): Place your complete trust in Allah, knowing that He is the Best Protector.
          Through Good Deeds and Faith: Strengthen your relationship with Allah by obeying His commands, avoiding sins, and performing good deeds.
  This is a profound reminder of our reliance on Allah and His infinite mercy and power.
